Decorating Techniques
Embroidery
Embroidery is the technique of decorating apparel, fabric, or other materials with needle and thread. The process begins with the design being converted from a typical computer format such as a jpeg, into a digital format that the embroidery machine can read. This process is known as digitizing and in many cases it can be one of the most time consuming parts of the whole process. Embroidery is great on hats, polos, and outerwear to name just a few. One of the major benefits is that it lends a very professional tone to the item it is added to. For this reason it is very commonly done on uniform pieces, or on items that a business wants to give away or sell as promotional goods. Unlike screen printing, for embroidery the number of colors in the design has no bearing on the price. This makes it a great choice for a design that features many different colors.
Screen Printing
This is the direct imprinting of a design or copy onto the surface of a product. The image is pressed through tensioned nylon mesh, leaving a paint-like appearance. This is generally a better imprint than Pad Printed, though it requires a relatively flat surface without obstructions.
Deboss
Deboss is a process in which the area around the image is pressed so that the image is pushed down into the material rather than raised. This is the preferred method of imprinting onto materials such as leather or vinyl. For promotional gifts on the executive level debossing makes an elegant reproduction of a company logo or name.
Four Color Process
This process produces stunning results with true 4-color reproduction of your artwork. The latest and most advanced print-head technology reproduces your imageonto a specialty film which is then permanently bonded to almost any product.
The three subtractive primary colors of Cyan (C), Magenta (M) and Yellow (Y), plus Black (K) are separated. Vibrant full color images are recreated using the CMYK printing method. This process is recommended for multi-color art, photograhs, and any logo with intricate detail.
Laser Engraved
Uses light to burn an image onto the substrate. It gives your logo a clean and polished appearance. The imprint color may vary depending on the material substrate of each item. Laser Oxidation is available on items where the surface and the substrate are the same color. The imprint turns black with Oxidation.
Pad Print
An inked image is transferred from a photo-etched plate to a thin, soft silicone pad. The pad is then pressed against the plastic part. The pad can wrap itself as much as 180° around a small object, and ink coverage is excellent. One color is done at a time and registration between colors is adequate for four-color process printing.
Transfer
Transfer is an optional method replacing Silk Screen imprinting for detailed and multi-color imprints for a better appearance on certain substrates. It can be applied to a virtually unlimited range of surfaces. The imprint is reproduced on the surface layer of the material. Use for textile products.
TruColor™
The TruColor™ Direct Digital Print process is an exciting breakthrough in printing technology. This unique digital process allows us to print your logo in vibrant color directly on to our drinkware and select other products. No border is required for this process.
Foil Stamped
This is a special kind of printing procedure where heat, pressure, and a metallic paper (foil) is used to create different shiny designs and graphics on various materials. Foil stamping gives the stamped design a shiny and incredible look.

Logo Artwork
Promotion Pros will NEVER charge for artwork. Send us your logo in the file format that you have. Not having print ready artwork is not a problem. While it certainly can make the process quicker, we are happy to take whatever art you have and make it print-ready. We accept the following file formats:
- Standard Image Files - .jpg, .tif, .gif, .png, .bmp
- Adobe Files - .pdf, .eps, .ai, .psd
- Microsoft Image Files - .doc, .ppt, .pub
- Corel Draw - .cdr

Do I see a proof before the item goes to production?
Yes, after we receive the artwork we will e-mail you the proof and production time will begin after your approval, we will allow up to two proof edits at no addtional charge to you.
What types of payment do you accept?
Due to the nature of our products, all payments must be successfully processed before the start of production. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MC, Discover, and AMEX.
We understand the limitation of some government organizations or agencies when it comes to credit card payments. We will not move forward with the order until a valid Purchase Order is received via fax or email, therefore these types of orders may take longer to process due to the verification procedure required. We will also accept a physical check. If you pay with a check your order will be on hold until the check clears. For payment via check indicate Promotion Pros as the payee and send check to:

How can I use a coupon?
Promotion Pros will have seasonal or daily coupon codes. They are all valid for a limiited amount of time. Coupon codes must be added into the cart when placing your order for the discount to be applied. They are valid on your next order only, by phone at 1-844-66-PROMO or online. Offer applies to standard list pricing shown and may not be combined with any other coupon or sale products. Coupon must be entered at the time of order, no cash/credit back. Not valid on prior purchases or purchases already in progress. Promotion Pros reserves the right to change or cancel the promotion at any time.
Do you collect taxes?
Yes, we collect WI & MN State taxes.
What is a Nexus Fee?
Nexus Fee is a tax we are required to collect on certain products, in certain states. Nexus, also called “sufficient physical presence,” is a legal term that refers to the requirement for companies doing business in a state to collect and pay tax on sales in that state. For example, if you sell goods or services in Los Angeles, you must file and pay California state taxes. Nexus determination is controlled by the U.S. Constitution under the Due Process Clause and the Commerce Clause.

Can I order quantities more or less than those shown?
Most products have a minimum order requirement-for printing purposes. Although if you cannot meet a minimum, please contact customer service at 844.66.PROMO and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.
Use of Trademarks
We only accept artwork that you have unrestricted rights, authority and authority to distribute. We are not responsible for restricted artwork.
CONDITIONS OF USE
VERIFICATION OF BRANDING AUTHORITY
In placing an order with Promotion Pros LLC either an individual(s) and organization(s) (the “Customer”) hereby verify that they have obtained all the necessary authority for Promotion Pros LLC (the “Vendor”) to produce promotional merchandise using the branding submitted via digital upload, email or any other means on the promotional products ordered.
In the event any claim and/or lawsuit is made against Vendor, its members, managers, agents, employees, servants, or insurers (the “Vendor Parties”) as the result of use of such branding, the customer, and each of them, jointly and severally, agree to indemnify and hold the Vendor Parties harmless against all claims, demands, costs and expenses of every kind and nature, including reasonable attorneys' fees for the defense thereof. In case any such action is brought against the Vendor Parties, the customer, and each of them, jointly and severally, covenant to defend such action at their sole cost and expense by legal counsel reasonably satisfactory to Vendor.
I have fully read and understand the consequences of the above and placing the order is my own free will.
Promotional Product Sample Guidelines
Our sample policy means you can "try it before you buy it." By sampling our products, you eliminate any concerns about quality, color and size.
The majority of our sample products are shipped at no cost to you. Products of $10.00 or greater will require payment via credit card. We will charge you for the sample. If you return the item within 30 days your card will be credited in full, return shipping is at customers expense.
Due to the cost of doing business and our desire to keep prices low for our customers, we reserve the right to decline questionable/non-business sample requests and to limit the number of samples to five (5).
What is the standard production time?
The estimated normal production time is 5-10 business days after your order is placed and artwork is approved. This time frame is also dependent upon the size of the order and/or the complexity of the artwork or decoration process being done.
If you happen have a target "in-hands" date, please contact customer service and inform them when you order. Delivery dates are only estimated and not guaranteed for orders with normal production time. If you pay for expedited shipping of a normal production order only the method of shipping will be guaranteed; the production time frame will remain relative to the other factors of production.
What if I need my order faster?
In a time crunch? Like a 24-hour time crunch? Certain products have the option to be printed and shipped out of the factory within one business day. Place your order by 11am central time and by expediting the artwork and proof process it will be produced and on its way within 24 hours.
Please note when choosing the 24-hour rush option you automatically waive the proof approval process in order to complete the projects on time. It is recommended that all 24-hour rush orders must have camera ready artwork, and we don’t recommend the use of complicated artwork either. If you do not have camera ready artwork your order may not qualify for the 24-hour rush, please contact customer service for assistance.
The 24-hour rush order process only applies to production time; it does not factor in shipping time. Please keep in mind only expedited shipping is guaranteed and ground shipping is only an estimate. . Promotion Pros cannot be held accountable for any shipping errors, damage, or delays occurring once the goods have left the warehouse. Shipping & Delivery
Production for Promotion Pros products vary based on imprint method and can be found on the item page. Once you approve the artwork, production time begins. Our Customer Service Representatives are available Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm CST to discuss which delivery method is right for you. In most cases, we offer priority overnight or FedEx 2day. Our normal shipments are via FedEx Ground, to the contenential USA. Please contact us before your artwork is approved for production if you have a courier account that you wish to use. Split shipments are also available at an additional cost.
Promotion Pros cannot be held accountable for any shipping errors, damage, or shipping delays occurring once the goods have left the warehouse.
- FedEx Priority Overnight- FedEx Priority Overnight® will deliver your package by 10:30 a.m. the next business day. In some locations this time may be later in the day.
- FedEx 2 Day- FedEx 2Day® will deliver your package in 2 business days by 4:30 p.m. to most areas (by 8 p.m. to residences).
- FedEx Express Saver- FedEx Express Saver® will deliver your package to businesses by 4:30 p.m. and to residences by 8 p.m. in 3 business days.
- FedEx Ground- FedEx Ground® service is Day-definite delivery in 1–5 business days (3–7 business days to and from Alaska and Hawaii) based on distance to destination. Delivery by the end of business day. It is a cost-effective solution for routine shipments that don't need the speed of express shipping. You receive reliable delivery for packages up to 150 lbs. with the precise date of delivery based on distance from origin to destination.
